Cyrillic script

Russian uses the Cyrillic script which is one of the most used writing systems in the world.

The script is used in the following countries: Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Ukraine.

The Cyrillic script is named in honor of the two Byzantine brothers, Saints Cyril and Methodius.
