Jack: Hej, Melanie och Hugh! Så ni har kommit hem från Thailand?
Jack: Hi Melanie and Hugh! Back from Thailand?
Melanie: Thailand? Nej, vi åkte till Taiwan den här gången.
Melanie: Thailand? Oh no, we've been to Taiwan this time.
Jack: Åh, jaså. Hur var det?
Jack: I see. How was it?
Hugh: Det var trevligt. Vi besökte ett par tempel och några nattmarknader.
Hugh: It was nice. We went to a couple of temples and night markets.
Jack: Det låter trevligt.
Jack: Sounds nice.
Melanie: Jo, men vad jag inte gillade med Taiwan var den vansinniga trafiken och gatuhundarna.
Melanie: Yes, but what I didn't like about Taiwan was the insane traffic and the stray dogs on the street.
Jack: Jaså? Jag såg en gatuhund i Spanien en gång. Han följde efter mig ett tag.
Jack: Really? I saw a stray dog in Spain once. He was following me around for a while.
Melanie: De verkar vara ett riktigt problem i vissa länder!
Melanie: They seem to be a real problem in some countries!
Hugh: Jag läste att en borgmästare i någon rumänsk stad matade lejonen på djurparken med herrelösa hundar!
Hugh: I read once that a mayor of some Eastern European town fed the stray dogs to the lions in the zoo!
Jack: Åh herregud! Det var riktigt brutalt!
Jack: Oh my god! That's really brutal!
